I had to share this plush toy of Bob Ross...it's for sale on amazon.com. And I love

the reason that you need him......

Reason you need him: Bob Ross is the only hope we ever had and

we should have listened to him when we had the chance.

Promising review: "What's not to like? It's Bob Ross!" – Dan

This is the painting which I just started......

I decided to paint small this time....at least small for me....it's just 36x24". I'm also

returning to using a Yes! canvas which is almost paper smooth....and I'm doing an

under painting. This is the type of subject I really love to paint.....two people interacting.

I want to return to painting expressions on faces.....paintings that tell a story.

Listened to part of a useless webinar today....but came away with one thing.....you need

to really define your niche. Someone once called me a Sarcastic Norman Rockwell....and

that just about sums up my paintings. So my niche is.......selling to Women who love art

that makes fun of Men! This painting is titled Men are from Mars because that's the book

she's reading......and she's smirking because he's trying to come on to her.....and doesn't

really seem to be her type.

Last year I won the William Duebber award at the Art Comes Alive 2017

competition held by Art Design Consultants. The prize was this two page

article in the fall edition of Venue Magazine.

In case you actually receive the magazine.....the article is on pages 38-39.

This article is valued at $10,000 !!!! I am really hoping to see an uptick in

website visits over the next few months......however, so far not so much.....

A few years ago I paid $1200 for a 1/4 page ad in American Art Collector's

magazine. I did sell a painting to a collector in California. However, I was

so excited during the phone call that I offered to pay for shipping. So....

after paying for the ad and shipping I made a grand total of $300 for

my favorite 36x24" painting. Lesson Learned? At least one person liked

my painting.....but I don't know that the ad generated a lot of other interest.
